Joodle uses PostHog, a privacy-focused analytics platform, to collect anonymous usage data. This helps us understand how the App is used and improve the user experience.

• App lifecycle events: When the app is launched, becomes active, or enters the background
• User interactions: Button taps, toggle changes, navigation actions, and gestures (such as scrubbing)
• Feature usage: Interactions with core features such as drawing, note-taking, navigation, and view mode changes
• Onboarding and tutorial progress: Steps viewed, completed, or skipped during onboarding and tutorials
• Screen views: Which screens you visit within the App
• Subscription events: Paywall views, subscription starts, restores, and purchase metadata (product ID, trial status, offer code usage — no payment details or financial information is collected)
• Settings changes: When settings are modified (setting names and values, not personal content)
• Share feature usage: When you use the share card feature (style and format preferences)
• Widget interactions: When you interact with Joodle widgets
• Error events: Anonymous error information to help us fix bugs

What we DO NOT collect:

• Your journal entries, drawings, or notes content
• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Photos or images you add to entries
• Any content you create within the App

With each analytics event, we automatically collect:

• Device identifier: An anonymous ID assigned to your device for analytics purposes (not linked to your Apple ID or personal identity)
• App version
• Platform (iOS)
• Session identifiers

This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.

All journal entries, drawings, photos, and other content you create in Joodle are stored locally on your device. This data remains under your control at all times.

We do not have access to this data.

If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud container associated with your Apple ID.

• Data is encrypted and managed by Apple
• Only you can access this data
• We do not operate any servers that store your content
• We do not have access to your iCloud data

• Understand how users interact with the App

Joodle does not integrate with advertising networks or external databases that store your personal content.

Your journal content remains on your device and/or within your personal iCloud account. Analytics data transmitted to PostHog is encrypted in transit.

While we take care to design the App securely, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for securing access to your device and Apple ID.

Joodle does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The analytics data we collect is anonymous and does not include any information related to age or identity.
