Hi, I'm Yuxuan, the developer of Joodle.
Strictly speaking, this "team" is just me. From product ideas, design, and development to animation, testing, customer support, operations, and marketing — it's all done by one person.
Joodle was born out of a very simple question.
I've always wanted to keep a record of my life, but I could never stick with journaling.
It's not that my life had nothing worth writing about. Most of the time, I just wanted to remember one tiny moment — a flower growing by the roadside, a really good cup of coffee, a cat I ran into by chance, or simply how calm I felt on an ordinary day.
These memories were never worth a long journal entry, yet they were precious enough that I didn't want to forget them.
Then I realized: a simple little doodle often brings a moment back far better than a few hundred words ever could.
So I started to wonder:
If recording life didn't require writing much, or knowing how to draw, would more people be able to keep it up?
That was the starting point of Joodle.
Joodle has never been a drawing app.
It isn't about making beautiful artwork, either.
I want it to be a new kind of "visual memory" — a way for anyone to keep life around with just a few simple strokes.
Those wobbly lines may not be perfect, but that's exactly what makes them real — and what makes them belong only to the person who drew them.
These days, AI can generate ever more polished images and do more and more things for us.
But I've always believed that some things cannot be generated.
Only the person who truly lived a moment can draw the memory that belongs to them.
That's why, to this day, I still insist on polishing every detail of Joodle myself.
Every animation, every transition, every bit of gesture feedback — I want them to feel so natural that you barely notice they're there, and simply focus on recording your life.
If Joodle can one day help more people slow down and rediscover the small, easily overlooked beauty in everyday life, then this year and more of persistence will have been worth it.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know Joodle.
